clone ux factor privacy policy

The UX Factor is an online grading platform that allows users to anonymously view others' submissions and give their feedback. The goal of this is to allow students to get as much feedback as possible, while still maintaining the anonymity of each submission. In order to quantitatively analyze each students' submission (which allows us to translate feedback into a grade), we ask pointed questions and ask users to determine which submission, given a pair of two submissions, better answers the task of the question. In this way, we can not only give helpful feedback to students based on their peers' responses, but also a quantitative grade that is, ideally, less biased than a grade that would be given solely by one reviewer.

Information Collection

In order to run the script to clone a copy of the UX Factor, this Service must request for the bundled permission to 1) see, edit, create, and delete all your Google Drive files and to 2) view and manage your forms in Google Drive. Although we request these scopes, our code does not actually delete any of your Google Drive files. We only add new data to your drive, in the form of a folder containing all relevant cloned files that this Service has created for the user. While we do modify the new data that we added to set up links between Google Forms and Sheets, the existing data in your Google Drive is neither read nor edited, and we do not collect any personal or identifying information from users. To achieve this cloning, we request several specific Google API scopes, described as follows.

Google APIs

For descriptions of each scope, please refer to the Google API. The scopes requested may change from time to time and authorization to use each scope will be granted expressly through the OAuth2 authentication process. Our use of data collected from Google Drive API restricted scopes ("restricted scope data") complies with Google's Limited Use Requirements. Specifically, this means that any restricted scope data:

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
